Relationship is the bedrock of the society. It cuts across all spheres of life. Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary defines relationship as the way in which two people, groups or countries behave towards each other. We all engage in one form of relationship or the other be it at home, school, workplace, market, places of worship etc.

Every relationship requires some efforts to make it work. An unhealthy relationship can jeopardise a person’s life. We should make it a point of duty to affect people positively everyday of our lives.
It will go a long way to building a healthy society.
Character
They are the qualities that make a person different from others. A person’s character plays an important role in building a healthy relationship.
Let’s look at some positive character traits that are important in building a healthy relationship.
Honesty
It has been said that honesty is the best policy.
No relationship can go far with lying. A healthy relationship requires an open communication. Bear in mind that friends you cannot trust are not real friends at all. Dishonesty only provides instant gratification that never last.
Loyalty
It is the glue that binds relationship together. Human beings desire companionship. A healthy relationship is built on trust and trust is an out come of loyalty.
Integrity
Integrity is doing the right thing at all times and in all circumstances, whether or not anyone is watching. A healthy relationship requires that you live by your principles no matter what others may say or think.
